Exit Signs and Emergency Lighting

EXIT SIGNS (KELUAR SIGNS)

Exit signs are illuminated fire safety signage indicating exit door ways and escape route. Modern exit signs used a combination of pictogram with direction arrows as user friendly feature for better direction of escape routes. All exit signs are mandatory life safety features in building codes and regulations.

EMERGENCY LIGHTING

An emergency light is a battery-backed lighting device that switches on automatically when a building experiences a power shut down or a power failure. Emergency lights are standard in new commercial and high occupancy residential buildings, such as offices, hotels, shopping malls, sports stadium, college and universities, highrise condominiums and apartments, underground car parks,  etc. This is an essential item in most building codes and regulations to ensure safe egress during a fire incident.

Incandescent light bulbs were originally used in emergency lights, before fluorescent lights and later light-emitting diodes (LEDs) superseded them in the 21st century. All emergency lighting comes with rechargeable batteries for illumination of evacuation routes.
